Please reach us at hello@svrnstudio.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.
If it's your first reformer pilates class, don't stress! Our instructors will guide you through the equipment, exercises and class flow so you feel comfortable and supported.
You'll be shown how to safely use the reformer bed, adjust springs and understand the movements throughout class. We recommend arriving 10 minutes early so we can introduce you to the studio and answer any questions before class begins.
We understand that nerves can be the one thing holding you back- our classes are welcoming, beginner-friendly and designed to help you progress at your own pace.
At SVRN Studio, we don't offer specific "beginner-only" classes. Our approach is designed to feel welcoming and supportive for all experience levels, meaning beginners are welcome across all of our reformer pilates and mat pilates classes.
Our instructors provide guidance, modifications and progressions throughout each class so you can move at your own pace while building confidence, strength and familiarity with the equipment and movements.
If you're looking for a slower-paced and more grounding introduction to Pilates, our Restorative classes (currently only in Lennox Head) are a beautiful place to start. These classes focus on gentle movement, deep stretching, breath work, nervous system regulation and mindful recovery- helping you reconnect with your body in a calm and supportive environment.
Wear activewear that you feel most comfortable moving in. We recommend fitted activewear (although not essential) so instructors can properly guide your alignment and movement throughout class.
A water bottle is essential to stay well hydrated, and a sweat towel if you also prefer.
It is compulsory in both of our Reformer studios to wear clean grip socks for both hygiene and safety reasons.
Grip socks are available for purchases in-studio if need.
We know things come up last minute!
Cancelling within the 12 hour window gives someone on the waitlist the chance to join in, and keeps the studio flowing smoothly.
We’re not equipped to accommodate children in-studio.
If you have a specific request, please contact the studio owner directly and we’ll do our best to assist where possible.
Consistency is key. Most clients notice improvements in strength, posture, energy and body awareness within a few weeks of regular classes.
For best results, we recommend attending 2-4 classes per week depending on your goals, fitness background and lifestyle.
While our classes are not specifically designed for prenatal clients, experienced clients may continue with appropriate modifications.
Please let your instructor know prior to class so they can guide you accordingly. We also recommend getting in touch with the studio directly and we’ll help you select the most suitable classes and instructors for your stage of pregnancy.
Whilst we are pilates SVRN is not a clinical rehabilitation pilates. If you are recovering from an injury, we recommend seeking guidance from a physiotherapist or specialist first. Once cleared, our instructors can support you with mindful modifications within a group setting.
